One Day Event, 9th April 2012
The first show of the season was a huge success with 62 entries, quite a few to get through in one day!! Unfortunately the weather was not at all kind to us and it rained all day. In typical British fashion everyone carried on with smiles on their faces and although there were plenty of tired horses because of the mud and deep going, everyone finished safely with smiles on their faces. Huge thanks must go to all our loyal stewards and helpers for braving the rain. We couldn’t run events without you all!

Crinkly Camp
Crinkly Camp was our first carriage driving event of 2012 at Ashfields on the 7th and 8th April and we were very lucky with the weather, cold but dry! As well as our own Crinkly camp we also had Sara Howe here training the Para drivers in preparation for their forthcoming world championships and also a Barry Capstick clinic. It was great seeing the place buzzing again after the winter.
Trainers Wilf and Minta were kept very busy throughout both days, covering dressage, cone driving and obstacle training. Saturday evening saw a very competitive quiz in the clubhouse with Sara Howe’s team winning by just one point from Team WBR (Wilf’s team),Barry Capstick’s team were third with team Minta bringing up the rear! |
